AMERICAN AMUSEMENT MACHINE ASSOCIATION SHOWS UP STRONG AT BOWL EXPO 2017

The 2017 Bowl Expo Exceeds Expectations for Exhibitors and Attendees

American Amusement Machine Association,AAMA, BOWLING EXPO, convention attendanceElk Grove Village, IL – July 7, 2017 – If you were at Bowl Expo 2017, you know Bowling is Back!

This year’s Bowl Expo was amazing. The energy, enthusiasm and optimism present on the floor was palpable and contagious.

About AAMA Location Trade Show Program

Bowl Expo is part of AAMA’s successful Location Trade Show Program (LTS). Every year, AAMA’s Industry Promotions Committee identifies a number of location trade shows that present opportunities for AAMA members. The 2017 line-up includes The Roller-Skating Association Trade Show, Bowl Expo and IAAPA. AAMA works closely with these associations in creating a Coin-Op Pavilion to aggregate our members in one place rather than having individual 10 x 10 booths scattered around the show floor. In the pavilion, we intentionally eliminate booth dividers. Doing so allows us to create an Amusement Center-like space so attendees can see what’s possible for their own rooms. It’s proven to be a remarkably successful format.

About AAMA’s Presence at Bowl Expo 2017

At this year’s Bowl Expo, AAMA created one of our largest-ever pavilions for this show featuring 13 AAMA member companies and covering 1,500 sq. ft. In addition, there were 14 other AAMA member companies who took booths adjacent to the Coin-Op Pavilion. This speaks to how the attractions and services our members create are occurring to the bowling industry. We’re seeing unprecedented demand for our form of entertainment from this space with honestly, no end in sight.

Ken Anderson with MotionMagix summed it up when he said “What we’re seeing now is the creation of Critical Mass Entertainment, (CME).” To see what CME looks like, visit a nearby FEC where you’ll find an incredible variety of attractions that may include bowling, arcade games, trampolines, roller skating, laser tag, food and beverage, ropes courses, go-karts, bumper boats, multi-plex cinemas, etc… You’d be hard pressed to recall a time when the industry was on such a positive trajectory. To further demonstrate this – during your visit to that local FEC, start adding up in your head the investment before you. In many of these locations, you’ll quickly exceed $10 million dollars. This needs to be articulated as it demonstrates how we’ve transitioned from “the arcade business” and all the negative connotations associated with that moniker to a bankable industry – we’re seen as legit by the banking industry and that’s a really good thing that speaks very well for the future.

If you’re an AAMA Member Company, please consider participating in our LTS program. Through the LTS Program we get you noticed, you close the sale.
