Creators of an outdoor “adventure” theme park with attractions for active families has announced that the park will open in the Northern California city of Rocklin around Memorial Day weekend. The Rocklin City Council approved the park’s multi-million project in January 2017, and the park is expected to welcome 125,000 visitors in its first year.
The park, which is situated on a plot of land five-and-a-half acres large, features “over 100 different activities” including zip lines, a ropes course, a giant swing, boating, and rock climbing attractions like rappelling and a via ferrata course.
An area called “Kids’ Kove” will offer a point of interest for little ones, with balance beams and zip lines more appropriately sized for children aged 4-10 years old.
The park also plans to open five restaurants, an observation deck, and two pavilions for concerts, festivals, and corporate events.
Quarry Park Adventures is scheduled to open at 4060 Rocklin Road in Rocklin in May 2018.
