Trampoline park coming to Hendersonville late summer
Hendersonville residents and entrepreneurs Richard and Kandace Martin are jumping with excitement preparing for their upcoming business: a trampoline park.
All Air Extreme Trampoline Park is coming to the old Kroger space on Main Street in Hendersonville, with an anticipated late summer opening.
“We always felt like Hendersonville was the perfect place for it,” Richard Martin said.
Several trampoline park companies reached out to Kroger, which still operates the space, about the site, but Kroger ultimately approved it for the local family, which also owns Hoppity Hop Inflatable Play Center on New Shackle Island Road.
Finding the perfect location was the biggest hurdle for the Martins over the last two years. This site has the necessary large space and approximate 25 feet in height.
Kroger is currently outfitting the 25,000-square-foot space to prepare for the business.
“I’m ready to get in there,” Martin said. “Right now all these trampolines are sitting in shipping containers waiting to be pulled out and put together.”
What to expect in the trampoline park
Over the last four years, the Martins and their kids have visited various trampoline parks across Middle Tennessee, all corporate-owned, to get inspiration for their own park.
Martin said safety and cleanliness are priority, and the site will include:
- 12,000 square feet of trampoline surface
- foam pits
- a ninja obstacle course
- dodgeball courts for tournaments
- a trapeze swing
- basketball hoops
- rock climbing wall
- foam pit exclusively for small children
- three large party rooms
- arcade games
- full concessions
The Martins will continue to operate Hoppity Hop, which is best for children 8 and under, in addition to the trampoline park, which will cater to all ages 3 and older.
“There’s so much we could do,” Martin said.
