Before the Thanksgiving table is even clear, retailers light up the holiday shopping season on Black Friday by offering deep discounts on the latest gifts for everyone on their list. In contrast to the consumerism that dominates the holiday season, Giving Tuesday, AKA the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, brings the true spirit of the holidays into focus.
Giving Tuesday is an international day of charitable giving that immediately follows the biggest shopping days of the year. But just as the shopping season does not end on Cyber Monday, charitable giving should not end on Giving Tuesday. There is still time to make a tax-deductible donation in 2018 – and we hope you consider donating to the AMOA Coin-Op Cares Education & Charitable Foundation.
Coin-Op Cares is a not-for-profit (Section 501c3) that exists to support industry education, such as the ‘On Campus’ and ‘On the Road’ programs, raise funds and award educational scholarships, make contributions to organizations providing disaster relief and provide financial resources to other charitable organizations that fit within the Foundation’s mission. While the Foundation is primarily recognized for its ongoing efforts in directing the Hesch Scholarship program, its mission is broader in scope, with a long legacy of providing assistance to charitable groups that help individuals and communities in need.
