The American Amusement Machine Association, International Association of Trampoline Parks, and Roller-Skating Association International Join Together to Request Fair Treatment and State Funded Support for Their Members
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL – NOVEMBER 30, 2020 – The American Amusement Machine Association, (AAMA), International Association of Trampoline Parks, (IATP), and the Roller Skating Association International, (RSA) sent a joint letter to the National Conference of State Legislators, (NCSL). In it, they requested consistency across leisure and entertainment industry sectors, as it relates to re-opening and operations, state funding for leisure businesses as they try to sustain at restricted or no capacity, and recognition that our facilities are practicing health and safety protocols that meet or exceed CDC Guidelines.
ABOUT THE LETTER TO THE NCSL
The impetus to send a letter to the NCSL arose from the October “Virtual Visit to Capitol Hill” AAMA organized with their D.C. based federal advocacy agency, Dentons. During the Virtual Visit, representatives from AAMA, IATP, and RSA met with three senior staff members from NCSL, including:
- DC Office Director, Molly Ramsdell
- Director of Programing, Caroline Carlson
- Director of Employment, Labor and Retirement Program, Suzanne Hultin
NCSL representatives requested a letter from the industry coalition detailing the challenges Covid-19 has presented our community.
